ESIAL rooms
ESIAL has 7 rooms available for grid5000.
- 1 room with 50 computers named EPI
- 5 rooms with 18 computers with netboot
- 2 rooms with 20 computers with netboot
Access through the wireless network will be possible for participants coming with their laptop.
EPI room
Room can't used be with netboot method. They will be used with live cd.

Some room have space for laptops, as all computers are on each site of the room.
room with 20 computers
They don't have as much space for laptops.
Computer capabilities
Netboot
- Netboot is an nfsroot archlinux image.
- There is three servers behind, and load test have been made and approved.
- It contains a light graphical environment and softwares :
- xterm
- ssh client
- firefox 3
- java 1.6
- ruby 1.8.7
- Following status is unknown for the following softs :
- curl with ssl support
- wget
- irb
- rubygems (with restclient gem)
- libopenssl-ruby1.8
- libjson-ruby1.8
- python v2.4
- python-httplib2
- python-simplejson
- It allow to use an usb key.
- There is no login / no password
live cds
- 80 ubuntu live cd will be available
Disk area
There isn't backup home on site so you have to :
- store them on grid5000 home
- store them on an usb key

How do I connect to grid5000
The following site are available with your password :

And the following site are available only with your ssh key (you have to store it on an usb key)

- Open your browser on an internet site.
- A page will come automatically and ask for login and password (use those given above).
- A popup will appear.
